We had a very nice vacation at Ayu Hotel. The garden and the room is very charming, peaceful and well maintained. The staff is very helpful, available and listening. The hotel is near (5min) the harbor. We recommend this nice place !
The service is great! The location is very nice and near the ferry harbor. They supported us for everything: tours, motorcycle…. Our bungalow was cosy and the open air bathroom was so nice!! Having a shower under the starry night is an experience! Thanks for our wonderful experience.
We had a great stay at Ayu hotel, the room was clean, and the outdoor bathroom was really nice. The staff is super friendly, and they gave us tips for things to do and helped us organize a snorkeling tour.
The first step is to catch a boat from JEPARA, where you have two options: a Slow Ferry (Siginjay, 4–5 hours) or a Fast Boat (Bahari, 2-3 hours).
Most travelers prefer the Fast Boat Jepara Karimunjawa, as it is more comfortable and convenient.

None of the boats depart every day so be sure to check the schedule before you go!

We all hope there will be flights, soon from Semarang, Surabaya and maybe even Jogjakarta and Bali.
There is only one ATM on the Karimunjawa island, and is located in the city centre near Alun- Alun. However, the ATM may not always work or accept your credit card, so it is advisable to bring enough cash money to cover your expenses on the island.

Currently, there are is no boat or ferry from Semarang to Karimunjawa.
Ayu Hotel is conveniently located near the harbor, and many of our guests choose to walk to our hotel.
However, if you prefer a taxi, you can easily find one at the harbor and pay a reasonable fare of IDR 50, 000 to reach Ayu Hotel.
